FRANCIS - A Family Musical

In Francis – The Family Musical, the timeless story of the young Francesco Bernardone is brought to life once again: the charming, reckless partygoer from Assisi who dreams of fame, until life forces him to stop and reconsider. From a dark prison cell, his journey toward a new way of life begins — a path that leads him through war and fear, but also through visions, miracles, and a voice calling him to something greater than himself.

The musical shows Francis as you have never seen him before: human, vulnerable, full of humor, and full of fire. We follow his encounter with the leper who opens his heart, the command he receives at San Damiano that changes the course of his life, the growth of a new community, his journey to the Sultan in the East, and ultimately the profound simplicity of the first nativity scene at Greccio. But throughout it all, one thing becomes clear: his conversion is not an end in itself. His life is no longer about his own fame or ideals, but about following Christ.

We see a man trying to break free from his fears, from his past, and from the voices that hold him back — and who discovers that true wealth is not found in possessions or status, but in following Jesus.
