THE STORY

Do you know that feeling? You’re searching for happiness and then you meet an amazing person. He inspires you and promises a better future. This is what happens to Cleopas and Mary. But then… a great disappointment: completely unexpectedly, he disappears from their lives. Gone is the dream, gone is the future full of happiness. Distraught, they return to their little village, Emmaus. But on the way, a stranger joins them and walks with them for a while…

After the death of Jesus, two of His disciples, Cleopas and Mary, leave Jerusalem and return to Emmaus, discouraged and heartbroken. Along the way, a stranger joins them and begins to explain the Scriptures, revealing how the Messiah had to suffer and die before entering into His glory.

As their journey unfolds, despair gives way to hope. Their hearts are stirred as they begin to see God's plan in a new light. But this traveler seems to know far more than an ordinary stranger. By the end of the road, Cleopas and Mary make a life-changing discovery: the man walking beside them may be much more than he appears.
