ARISE! Summer camp DAY 6
We had lunch with the leaders, and after about 30 minutes, the kids and teens started to come in. They got into costumes for dress rehearsal and since I wasn’t in the performance for that night, I got to watch. I also got to take lots of pictures with our camera. After, the kids started getting their hair and make up done and headsets. Then around 5 we had dinner, and at 6 we started the performance. It went very well, and even the archbishop came to watch! Here is what he said:
“Later that evening, I attended an original musical production of the life of St. Francis held at Maternity of Mary as part of ARISE!, the parish’s music and theater ministry for children ages 7 to 18. The kids were amazing performers but impressed me even more by their faith, which came through every note and dance step. Bravo!”
